Wow and just like that we have spent a month in Swazi?! That is wild, 4 weeks have passed. It feels like we just arrived, yet I’ve been here for so many months! Time on the Race is actually the most wild thing! We just hit the two month mark on the race, meaning we’re entering month 3! I can’t believe it!

Week 4 has been a more unusual one for me.This last weekend was one of rest and revelation with the Lord. It was so lovely just getting to sit with the Lord with no time restraint and an expectant heart. However Monday rolled around and I began feeling really sick. This was the first time I’ve gotten sick since being on the Race. At home when not feeling well I have the mentality of just keep going and push through it; however here I felt very convicted to slow down and rest. As I prayed I felt like the Lord asked me to stay back from ministry. I wanted to just go, but I am learning the importance of saying yes in the simple moments with God. And this time that looked like saying yes to staying back, and it was so very needed. I ended up staying back Tuesday and Wednesday and rested physically. I also just really got to press into the Lord and He met me in such a tender and gentle way. He kindly peeled back layers of my heart and showed me what He wanted to work on in me and also just more that He had for me. He is so kind, I’m so in awe. Also my team took such good care of me and really ministered to me in the way they loved me this last week. I am starting to feel better, praise God!

This weekend we are headed to South Africa! Since we have been in Swazi for a month we have to renew our Visas. So we are leaving the country for the weekend so we can reenter Sunday evening to finish out our time in Swazi. We will get to spend the weekend in St. Lucia, a beach in South Africa, this will be a much needed time of rest and rejuvenation to fill us up for the last few weeks of Swazi ministry.

Yea I’m excited to see what the Lord has for us this weekend. After this weekend we only have about 2 more weeks left, then we will head to our first on field debrief! Time is flying by!
