Wow and just like that three weeks have passed and training camp is officially over!! Let’s recap this last week!!
Week Three was one full of many tears, joy, emotion’s, doubts, laughter, and so much more! This past week training camp was different than all the rest, three of the five squads that were at camp launched; so camp was much quieter. This week our sessions were about trusting the Bible and the legitimacy of it, worldview, the spiritual realm, spiritual warfare, and prayer! As we dove into all of this It brought clarity and new understanding of the world; both physical and the spiritual. It has been fascinating diving deep into so many topics that are often glossed over.
Outside of teaching, worship, and the more typical training camp days we also got to hike Mount Yona!! Overall it was such a sweet time, the hike was such a sweet squad bonding time. The hike up was warm and at times felt like it would never end. However it was still such a sweet time! Once we got to the top it was all worth it as we watched the sunset over the mountains!! It was genuinely breathtaking. As I looked over the city from the mountain top I began to cry as I stood in awe of the beauty of the Lord. We stayed the night at the top and enjoyed sweet laughter, bonfires, and using the bathroom in the bushes lol, what a refining season haha!! On a real note – Im in awe of the beauty of the Lord and His creation! What a beautiful God – He’s simply wonderful!
Some other fun moments of this week consisted of trying spam, going to the laundry mat, and enjoying slow mornings with my sweet friend Abby!
The Lord has revealed Himself in such beautiful ways this week, but also this last week was challenging. Emotionally this past week has felt heavy as leaving behind life at home started to hit. It’s not necessarily a sad thing, I guess it’s just a bit overwhelming at times! But I am so thankful for the way the Lord has so kindly put such amazing people around me who encourage me and hug me when I’m down, and then lift me up and encourage me.
Training Camp definitely has been hard, lovely, entertaining, growing, stretching – literally all the things! I have grown in many ways over these last three weeks and I’m expectant for what Jesus is going to continue to doing domestic ministry!
Other things!!
